Penne with prawns in a garlic tomato sauce

For all those sea loving folks, here is a perfect combination of pasta, tomatoes and prawns! What's not to love about that?

Ingredients:

  • 500g penne pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • 6 garlic cloves chopped
  • 4 tbsp white wine
  • 800g canned chopped tomatoes
  • 500g raw prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup finely grated parmesan cheese

Cook penne according to the packet instructions and then drain. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, and cook until onion is soft (about 10 mins). Stir in wine and tomatoes and continue to cook for 10 mins, stirring occasionally. Add the prawns, stir to coat with sauce and cook 6 mins, or until they change colour. Toss with pasta and top with parmesan cheese to serve.
